Veterans Day Ride

We polished up your roadsters and put on our finest wools for this wonderful ride.

Eleven riders on 11-11 at 11:00

Our ride leader Doug Harris had the perfect route for the perfect day!
Say Hi to Doug!

Smiles for miles!

Lennon didn't make the ride, but I put his photo in anyway.

3 speeds, 3 cameras.

This was the 30th anniversary of "The Veterans Day Ride" once known as the "Inn Tour" held on the same day.

The weather was great!

Our ride showcased the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding areas.

Why yes Mr President, he is here. Would you like to speak to him?

  2. Scott,
How long is this ride and where does it end? I'll need to get from and back to Boston.
If I can get my ancient Sturmey Archer AW overhauled this week ,I'd like to come.

  3. Doug's rides are usually about 15 miles long and will end at the start point. Im not sure about the trains to Swampscott, but there may be a station near by the start.
The rides usually end before dark and finish with a beer or a meal in a restaurant with a big table so we can share photos and stories. Off color jokes may be heard at this said table. Hope to see you there.

  4. Scott,
A convenient MBTA train station and schedule should see me in Swampscott for the ride.

    Thanks,
